Imperial Tea is a fresh and modern homage to jasmine tea, brewed, served and enjoyed in one of China's finest traditional tea rituals.

For our founder John Brown, travel is always synonymous with surprises, new encounters, and love. This time, the sea breeze carried him to a new country where the rich tea culture has been cultivated for thousands of years. He experienced the production of jasmine tea, in which hand-picked white flowers are placed on fermenting tea to infuse it with their oils. He watched jasmine tea being served with floating flowers and tasted it in a moment of timelessness and elegance that he wished would never end. One small sip and all the senses are so beguiled by the jasmine flowers that space and time lose their meaning.

The perfume:
Baios Imperial Tea  is a clean, linear fragrance built around a green tea accord infused with jasmine sambac absolute. Bergamot and laminaria algae - a rare ingredient in perfumery that brings a mineral and airy balance - capture the sea spray beautifully, while the earthy notes of vetiver oil and musk give the fragrance longevity. Up to the sky and back down to earth again - jasmine tea is at the heart of a royal ritual that has endured in China for thousands of years.
