Inspired by the Patiala necklace. Set with 2930 diamonds in platinum, the Patiala necklace is one of the most extravagant pieces of jewelry ever. It was commissioned in 1928 by Sir Bhupinder Singh, the Maharaja of Patiala, and worn with pride until his death in 1938. The Patiala is considered one of the finest examples of "Art Deco" jewelry. It disappeared in the 1940s and only parts of this legendary necklace have resurfaced since then. Its splendor is nonetheless world-famous.
